My dad taught me how, but if no one you know fly fishes, you should get a book, read about it online, or find a guide that will take you, becuase youll definately need to know a little about what youre doing before you actually try it.
it depends, a lot … it depends, a lot of times, you let it just smack the wwater, then flip it up and land it in a different place, then after a couple times of doing that you let it rest for about 10-20 seconds. (this is the way i do it, but there are a ton of techniques. you can pretty much do whatever you feel will work)
