Trout Fishing is an amazing band. Great songs. Great musicians.
But, this is not one of their best tunes. After the title, you pretty much know how the rest of the song will run. And with the lyric, “from my head down to my shoes,” they took a break for those few seconds writing and phoned that part in. Copied it from “The Big Book of Blues Cliches.”
There are SO many great Trout Fishing songs. Bigger hits. More cleverest. I do hope Keith and Ezra will post more videos soon.

Trout Fishing In America changed my life when I saw them in the late ’80′s in my home town of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. The world’s best duo, hands down.
Incredible musicianship, brilliant lyrics, and the most entertaining live show I have ever seen. Keith’s just plain wicked, and Ezra’s tall.
I can’t say enough good things about these guys.
