Penn has a great reputation in the business and each of their product lines, new as well as old, manages to keep the Penn Captiva flag flying high in the fishing universe.A lot more than their rods, which can be pretty well known, Penn started off their business making reels and that’s how they built their reputation. Actually, till the 1990s these people were known as Penn Reels, as that were their speciality. And then when rods were revealed onto their assembly line, and great ones too, it made sense to modify the name to something more general. And so the name Penn. After all they can bank for the reputation they had established over a variety of years for the people to distinguish the name and identify it in their quality products.
